Tailored Summer Jackets

There is a very easy way of sprucing up your summer wardrobe and that is by investing in a bespoke jacket in a lightweight or cool wool fabric. Wear it with jeans, a tee, shorts and sandals or with shirt and tie. There are so many ways to get the most out of it to create a look that’s perfect for any occasion.

I’m fond of an unlined jacket as it’s so cool in summer, and here’s a little trade secret- linings hide a multitude of tailor’s sins but when you have one unlined there is no room for mistakes. They all have to be beautifully bespoke garments.

Navy is a good colour to see you through summer to autumn. Just wear it with a turtle neck when it gets a little chilly. Or, with a cardigan, shirt, tie and pocket square for a very smart yet relaxed look.

Step In To Summer!

As the temperature climbs thoughts turn to dusting down our summer wardrobe.

As you can imagine i’m always suited and booted as I believe I should be a walking advert for what I do and what my label is all about; Beautifully Bespoke garments that work for any season and occasion.

An important thing to remember is that suiting can be really easy to wear in warmer temperatures thanks to cool wool. If you go for a lightweight 100% wool cloth (perhaps with a fine check in a shade of blue) you have 3 wardrobe staples you can wear with a tailored blazer to create numerous looks.

A blazer looks great with chinos and a white short yet also works so well with jeans and a polo shirt. Then take your suit and mix it up; jacket with chinos, waistcoat with the blazer, trousers with the blazer, jacket with jeans, and so on… It’s what is known in the trade as a ‘capsule wardrobe’.
