The Fashion Editor of The Gay Times, Darkwah Kyei-Darkwah, opens up his Stephen Williams London leather bag to share his autumn essentials for Phoenix Magazine.
Darkwah, who shot the bag in a main fashion editorial for Gay Times (see below), features my handmade men’s leather holdall stamped with the signature Stephen Williams crest (£695).
“With the increase in the size of my bag, comes an influx of accoutrements I tote around town with me.
My bag of choice is from Stephen Williams. The leather crest holdall is perfect as I’m constantly on the move – whether it’s meetings with PRs, events or just moving through the city at leisure, I’ve got to be prepared for each and every occasion.” – Darkwah.
Darwah Kyei-Darkwah styles the Gay Times magazine’s November main fashion story ‘Sundown Comes’ featuring my signature crest holdall, angel clam print shawl collar blazer, banana leaf print trousers, and navy fishtail trousers!

On Monday 18th September we partnered with China Tang at the Dorchester to host an exclusive VIP event alongside leading fragrance brand Roja Parfums.
Male models wearing my latest bespoke creations welcomed guests including our campaign star Thom Evans, and brother Max Evans (both wearing Stephen Williams London) as they enjoyed cocktails inspired by Roja’s newest fragrance and dim sum in the chic 1930s art deco setting of Mayfair’s China Tang.
Key new designs include a grey polka dot two-piece, the angel oyster printed shawl lapel blazer, blue camouflage jacket, and green tartan suit. Also launched at the event was my new range of shoes in collaboration with Spanish shoe designer Roque Vicente!

I had the honor of dressing Ray Davies, lead singer of legendary 1960s rock band The Kinks, for his performance at The BBC Proms Hyde Park – ‘the world’s greatest classical music festival’.
As the lead singer of one of the most important and influential rock bands of the ’60s, I saw it only fitting to dress Ray in a paisley print cotton dinner jacket with a satin lapel and skull lining.
This was accessorised with a V ‘Marilyn’ edition black micro sequin tie – a collaboration between myself and The TieGa by Atelier Louise Austin available by appointment at the Stephen Williams London studio.
